Cowhide should never be washed in a washing machine or tumble dried. Excessive moisture, heat, and agitation can cause the hide to warp, stiffen, or lose its natural finish.
How to Clean Your Cowhide
•For minor dirt or spills, gently wipe the surface with a clean, warm, damp cloth.
•Dab—don’t rub—to avoid damaging the hair or leather underneath.
•Allow the item to air dry naturally in a cool, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, heaters, or blow dryers, as these can dry out or discolor the hide.
